City of Port Washington - Giving Opportunities
Are you looking to invest financially in our City of Port Washington – but don’t quite know how you can give? Several of our City departments have created Endowments, affording individuals the opportunity to demonstrate their belief in and support of the vital roles they play within our community. Please see below for a brief description of some of these opportunities. And, if these aren’t quite what you are looking for as the right cause in which to invest, please contact us at City Hall – we’d be thrilled to speak with you and help you align your giving interests with our investment opportunities!
Friends of the W. J. Niederkorn Library
The Friends of the W. J. Niederkorn Library provide support to the library by enhancing and expanding on the services the library provides. The goal is to build on the participation and appreciation of the library and the services it already provides.
The Friends raise most of their money through their ongoing Friends of the Library Book Store and the annual Book Sale. The Friends also provide coffee and tea service in the library for a nominal $1 charge.
The Friends of the Library are currently accessing expenditures for Fall 2013.
Recent projects included puzzles, trains, and some Duplo sets and a table for the Children's Department, a podium with a light and built in speaker for the Community Room and bringing Wisconsin author Jane Hamilton to Port Washington.
