WASTEWATER OPERATOR/PLANT MAINTENANCE POSITION
The City of Port Washington (pop.11,713) is seeking applicants for the position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. The Wastewater operator position performs work at a 3.1 MGD activated sludge treatment facility, associated remote lift stations, and sanitary sewer collection system. This includes operations, repairs, and maintenance; collecting samples and performing tests, evaluating, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment; preparing and maintaining operations records; and participation in an on-call rotation with a one (1) hours response time. Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school or GED plus a CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months. Experience in equipment operation, maintenance of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, or other related experience is preferred. An associate degree in wastewater treatment or environmental science is desirable. The ability to obtain basic level certification for all plant subclasses within 24 months of hire is required, and pursuit of advanced certification is encouraged. Starting pay is $24.27 - $30.11, DOQ. Additional incentive pay is available for obtaining advanced certification status. Adult Community Senior Center Assistant
Are you looking for a fast-paced environment with people? Consider applying for the Senior Center Assistant position. The Assistant reports to the Center Director. Desired candidate should have 1-2 years’ experience planning and leading activities for adults or seniors in a community setting, office knowledge, skills in Microsoft Office products, and competency with basic computer skills. Ability to work flexible work hours, primarily Tuesday through Friday. Regular part-time position is approximately 15 hours per week.

Water Filtration Plant Operator
The City of Port Washington Water Utility is currently accepting applications for a full time Filtration Plant Operator.

Minimum qualifications and experience include high school graduation or equivalency, and a Wisconsin DNR S-1, D-T certification or the ability to obtain within one year of hire. The position requires that the individual become fully trained in all operations of the 4 MGD Surface Water Filtration Plant. This position is third shift, 11 :00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with the schedule being 7 days on (Tuesday-Monday), 2 days off (Tuesday, Wednesday), 7 days on (Thursday-Wednesday), 2 days off (Thursday, Friday), 6 days on (Saturday-Thursday), and 4 days off (Friday-Monday). Salary range is $24.27/hr. - $30.11/hr. DOQ, along with excellent benefits.

School Crossing Guards
The Port Washington Police Department is taking applications for school crossing guards. Applicants must be available to work one hour before school and/or one hour after school. Crossing guards may sign up for extra hours during summer assisting the Police Department with pedestrian crossing during some festivals. Starting pay is $12.89/hour.
