Voter Registration - Voter Qualifications
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Be age 18 or older on or before Election Day.
  • Have resided in the City of Port Washington for 10 consecutive days, with no present intent to move, before any election where the citizen intends to vote.
  • Military personnel and Overseas voters should visit the My Vote Wisconsin site at www.myvote.wi.gov or contact the Clerk's office for special information regarding voter registration.

  • If you are registering less than 20 days prior to a scheduled election, you are required to register in person at the Clerk's Office at City Hall and will also need Proof of Residency.

Register In Person At City Hall Clerk's Office
  • If you are registering less than 20 days prior to a scheduled election, you are required to register in person at the Clerk's Office at City Hall and provide an acceptable Proof of Residency document with your full name and address on it.   • If you are registering less than 20 days prior to a scheduled election you may not register by mail.
  • Port Washington City Hall is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. City Hall may be closed on some holidays. For those dates, please call 262-284-5585.

  • If you are registering on Election Day, you must complete the Voter Registration Application in the presence of an Election Inspector at your polling place.
  • You must provide Proof of Residency that contains your current and complete name and current and complete residential address.

Absentee Ballot - Voting In Person At City Hall Clerk's Office
  • The elector must be a registered voter in the City of Port Washington to receive an absentee ballot.
